Retrieve It from a Cache 5/31/2007 50sumtin retrieved it from The Balance Beam California   Visit Log

TFTC! 🙂 Well, yesterday I left a couple of the new caches in Nisene Marks alone so that others could share in the First-to-Find frenzy. But when I woke up this morning and saw that they still weren't found ...

Back at the park today at sunrise. Parked at the park entrance and hiked over here in the twilight beneath the coastal clouds.

My Magellan Sportrak Pro told me to look at the base of the balance beam. After rereading the cache description and the hint, up on the beam I went! The cache was a quick find after that.

But I wasn't the real First-to-Find, just the first geocacher to make the find. Some muggles had found the cache yesterday and wrote in the log book and returned the cache to its hide.

This one may not last long ...

TFTC! 🙂 After reading the log by British Invasion I knew where to park after work to look for this cache.

As I approached the cache I looked up and saw a father with his little daughter walking ahead of me. Aww... How cute!

From behind I looked at the man's right arm. Either his arm was amputated at the elbow or he was holding a GPS in his hand!?! Nazgul! It was fun to cache together.

Nicely done camo! 👍 SL 50sumtin

TFTC! 🙂 I was so focused on finding the cache that I didn't watch where I was putting my feet. As I was signing the log (which had a different cache name than the hide location) I smelled something pungently odorous. Looking down I saw that my boots were right next to but not on a pile of dog doo-doo. I didn't have anything with me to clean up the pile. Next person out beware f where you step! SL 50sumtin

TFTC! 🙂 I wanted a short but good hike for exercise after work and this fit the bill. Cache is in great shape. SL 50sumtin
