Current Goal

The goal of this TB is to visit dog-friendly swimming holes and have his picture taken with the wet dog(s) who checked them out. Casey wasn't picky - if there was water, Casey was WET. He also loved rides, so don't be afraid to log some miles!!

About This Item

This TB is in memory of our Golden Retriever, Casey. Casey was the epitome of "Man's Best Friend!!" It's too bad we didn't know about caching when he was still around -- he'd have LOVED it!! We started the TB on a camping trip to Elk Neck State Park, in North East, MD - one of his FAVORITE places to be.

This tb holds a special spot in my heart. I'm the one that discovered his identity had been stollen and someone switched him out with a sheep. I switched him back as I had an identical twin if his former self. Casey has since been on my watchlist and I have loved seeing all the places he's been. We even ended up naming our 2nd son Kasey. Your pooch has put on some miles. I'm excited for him to finally make it back home.

A lot has happened since we placed this TravelBug 14 years ago! We've been out of Geocaching for a while, always meaning to get back to it. We downloaded the app last Sunday, and found our first cache in years. From time to time, we had checked in on Casey, but imagine our surprise when we found out that he has made it back to Elk Neck! We're heading there tomorrow, and hope to find him and bring him home! Thank you to all of you who have taken him for a ride for bringing him back home. We're gonna get him cleaned up and back on his way to new adventures soon!

I found sweet Casey this weekend while visiting Hashawha Environmental Center. I don't want to move him too far from the original owner, but have taken him to Delaware where he is visiting with my German Shepherd Sasha and my Golden named Kibbles. I want to try to take them all for a swim. We will see what I can work out.
