    Breathtaking views of four mountain lakes surrounded by snow-covered peaks greeted us on our 11-km (return) hike to this lonely cache. We saw signs of recent bear activity and had to walk through foot-deep snow, but we were not to be deterred from our goal. Simply spectacular.

    This cache is located fairly close to a well traveled highway. Other than the need to easily hop across a small creek, it's hard to understand why this one hasn't seen more visitors.

    We hiked up to this fire lookout tower with The Crimson Pirate and a friend to help him celebrate his 1,000th find. The panoramic views from the tower are spectacular.
