Found out that this coin was placed in a cache that had been closed to the public (construction). I decided to go on a search & rescue and see if I could find the cache, or if it had been hauled away with the rest of this park. I found the container lodged in the ground, with tractor tire marks going right over the top of it. It was in the middle of a clearing about 30 feet or so in diameter.. How the construction guys didn't see this is beyond me. Anyways, recovered the coin and now have it in my possession. Removed the cache that was there and contacted the owner, as well as my friend (Geocaching moderator). I will be placing this coin in another cache nearby, either today or tomorrow, as I am not traveling any distance for another month or so. Glad this didn't get lost!!!
