To travel to Independence Hall, Monticello, and places named Jefferson. It is called The Spirit of 17.76 because it was released at N 41° 29.663 W 071° 17.760 in Newport Rhode Island.
This travel bug (a laminated $2 bill) is being released to honor the men who risked so much for the founding of our country. One of the signers, William Ellery, was from Newport, and is pictured on the reverse of the $2 bill (yes, they still print them).
The image on the reverse is based on the painting by John Trumbull. Visit http://www.americanrevolution.org/deckey.html for a key to all people in the painting.
Pictures of the bill's travels are always welcome.
