O objetivo desta geocoin é ir ao máximo de eventos possível, sempre na companhia dos meus donos, para ser partilhada com todos os geocachers que lá estejam.

Esta moeda pertence à nossa coleção pessoal, desde 05 de abril de 2015. Pertenceu anteriormente ao geocacher thowaei.

The goal of this geocoin is to go to as many events as possible, always in the company of my owners, to be shared with all geocachers that are over there.

This coin belongs to our personal collection, since the 05th of April 2015. Formerly belonged to a geocacher named thowaei.

Esta foi a geocoin “oficial” portuguesa de 2007. O mentor do projecto foi o conhecido geocacher Hulkman, que teve a difícil tarefa de resolver a indecisão sobre o desenho a escolher.

Depois de escolhido o desenho, a produção mínima de 250 geocoins (para que a geocoin pudesse ter um icon – condição imposta pela Groundspeak nesses tempos) foi dividida em 25 lotes de 10 geocoins, que foram disponibilizados para reserva pelos geocachers interessados.

A geocoin representa o bem conhecido “Zé Povinho”, uma caricatura de Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, conhecido ilustrador, caricaturista e escultor Português do século. A figura do Zé Povinho de há muito que é uma das imagens mais conhecidas e mais populares em Portugal, um verdadeiro símbolo nacional, tendo sido esse um dos factores da sua escolha para esta geocoin portuguesa. No verso da geocoin o desenho incorpora mais alguns símbolos de Portugal: as cores verde e vermelho da bandeira nacional, as cinco quinas e a esfera armilar. No texto lê-se “Por caches nunca antes encontradas”, uma reformulação do que dizia Camões nos Lusíadas: “Por mares nunca dantes navegados”. Em suma, uma geocoin recheada de simbolismos!

This was the Portuguese "official" geocoin of 2007. The mentor of the project was the well-known geocacher Hulkman, who had the difficult task of solving the indecision on the design to choose.

Once the design was chosen, the minimum production of 250 geocoins (so that the geocoin could have an icon - condition imposed by Groundspeak in those times) was divided into 25 lots of 10 geocoins, which were made available for reservation by interested geocachers.

Geocoin represents the well-known "Zé Povinho", a caricature of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, well-known illustrator, caricaturist and Portuguese sculptor of the century. The figure of Zé Povinho has long been one of the most popular and popular images in Portugal, a true national symbol, and this was one of the factors of his choice for this Portuguese geocoin. On the back of the geocoin the design incorporates a few more symbols of Portugal: the green and red colors of the national flag, the five quinas and the armillary sphere. In the text it reads "By caches never before found", a reformulation of what Camões in the Lusíadas said: "By seas never before navigated". In short, a geocoin filled with symbolism!
