Current Goal

Please help me spread my wings far and wide. I'd like to travel around the globe meeting as many of my colorful cousins as possible before returning to Pennsylvania to live out my golden years with "my people." Short bios about the people who find me would be appreciated.

About This Item

nOTE TO FIRST FINDER: HOPEFULLY I'LL DROP THIS OFF IN NEW YORK STATE IN JULY WHILE CAMPING, BUT WON'T HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER TO LOG IN THE DROP. PLEASE RECORD THE FIND AS PASS IT ON AS NORMAL. THANKS.

It's tough being a butterfly. Life is short. Rain beats down on my delicate wings. Winds blow making flying next to impossible. Plenty of creatures consider me to be a colorful, tasty morsels. Others see me as a collectible. Swaying flowers make landings difficult. Mates are scattered and fluttering about in this madly shifting world. It isn't easy at all you know when nothing is solid. Just bits of pollen and tastes of nectar and shifting breezes and a sun that won't stay put. All that change gets me to wondering. Before the Big Change, there were solid branches for crawling and substantial leaves for chewing. My many feet were solidly attached to home, and my pace was regally slow. Now it's here and there, always on the move. Can't go back, though. Can I? The butterfly is noted for its Big Change. But life holds change for all of us, and as butterflies, we'll see more of the world than we saw before. The wind blows us to new heights and presents new perspectives. I certainly wouldn't want to go back. Would you?

Found while on our yearly family vacation to Geowoodstock! The entire family CLBRocker, EKB13 and I are from Akron, OH. We are glad to get to share the fun of caching with you.

After Geowoodstock we headed out of St. Louis, MO to Iowa to get a new state, then shoot over to IL to see Carthage and Nauvoo. Thanks for the cache!

Had a great time at Maggie O'Brians for the Where's George Meet Up.
