This coin has been issued to commemorate the First United Nations observed World Diabetes Day on 14 November 2007. Please place into a geocache so that it can travel the world spreading the message of diabetes awareness.
The WDD 2007 Geocoins commemorate the passage of UN resolution 61/225 and mark the first UN observed World Diabetes Day. I had gestational diabetes (despite no risk factors other than pregnancy) and my father has type 2 diabetes. A good friend was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as an adult. I'll happily move this coin along to spread awareness. Thanks for sharing!

It came in our mail box today.
The kids are so excited.
My Father their Grandfather has Type I Diabetes.
We also have other friends and family with Type I and Type II.
So we are excited that this coin and other's like it can help get the word out about diabetes.
