Christmas 1978 found us in North Carolina, where lrb was flying C-130s out of Pope AFB. He was deployed for 2 1/2 months on a regular European rotation and thus missed our daughter's first Christmas as well as her first birthday. So Christmas 1979 was maybe the most memorable because it was the first we had together as a family.
