I take this coin geocaching with me, and log in a visit occasionally when a "really cool" cache is found. Cool can be defined in many ways; difficulty, terrain, uniqueness, location, scenery, challenging, unusual, or just plain fun. So it's a Cool Cache Collector Coin Companion. In effect it becomes a collection of some of my/our all-time favorite caches.
I found this "really cool" unactivated coin in a "really cool" cache called "The things you learn while geocaching" One thing I learned since then is to not put it in a pocket of a windbreaker while looking for a TB hotel under an evergreen in the rain in an airport parking lot. I used this as a personnal coin for one year, at which time I carelessly lost it while looking for a cache during a short layover in Charlotte, N.C. en route to Fort Lauderdale. After six months of waiting to see if it would turn up somewhere, I am recalling it and using a cardboard copy of the coin to log through caches. If you should happen to find the real coin, please "grab it" from my posession and move it along. The real coin will take precedence over my copy. Maybe in time it could even find it's way back to west suburban Chicago and I could pick it up.
