This trackable is not in the said cache the following log may give some hint as to it's whereabouts
We were there for four (4) hours!
The find was simple enough, deciding what we would take in exchange for our bouncy ball was a little more difficult, we finally agreed to take the sundial geocoin and help continue its journey around the world. We then decided we would do a little exploring before we left, the other half gave me the geocoin and walked away to explore. I walked up to the car to put the geocoin in a safe place but the car was locked and the keys down the hill. I made an executive decision to leave the coin on the edge of the bonnet so i would see it when i got back from exploring. Needless to say I did not notice it when we got back to the car as we were excited by the prospect of taking the hilux further up the hill to explore and get a better view. We got about half way up before having to turn back resolved that we would have to come back once we had given the beast a lift to clear the ruts the rain had created in the track. It wasn't till we were a good few kilometres away from the highway until he asked me "so where's the geocoin......?"
We rushed back determined to find the coin, we looked for a good 45min before admitting defeat and deciding we would have lunch and go home. We were both hot and bothered and sulking in our defeat, lunch was a quiet affair. we started to head off again but only got 20 m up the road until his conscience got the better of him ( he wouldn't give up so easily), we looked for a further 45min, we lost each other several times, got thoroughly sunburnt, but found nothing. we got back in the car in an even bigger sulk and began to drive home. we got about 200m down the track and just as I was telling the better half "it wouldn't have fallen off on this track if it stayed on the bonnet all the way up the hill and back" there it was; its shinny little plastic cover gleaming up at me in pure mockery.
We plan to put the coin back into circulation somewhere closer to Darwin this weekend, hopefully with a little less adventure.
Thanks for the cach.
