I Have the Travel Bug!
This is a school project hosted by grade 2 class at Sussex Corner Elementary School. We released 20 travel bugs in April 2008. The children learned about geocaching, travel bugs, the geocaching website and wrote biographies about the travel bugs. My goal is for the children to learn about the different communities and families that their travel bugs encounter.
Your participation is appreciated. I have never seen my students more excited about a project! Please move this travel bug to a new location and document adventures and experiences on the website. The children will continue to track their travel bugs for years to come.
Amber is a Polly Pocket. She is 100 years old and she lives on the Poodiac Road. She is a teacher and she teaches grade 2. She has 2 girls. Their names are Emma and Adelaide and they are 2 year old twins. She wears green shorts, purple slip on shoes and a purple short sleeved shirt.
Amber’s hair is blonde and she has blue eyes. Amber is friendly and kind. She likes shopping, walking her pets and singing.
Emily said, “I will miss Amber while she is gone.”

Sailed over from Marina Del Ray for a week on Catalina Island. We'll help Amber get a Hawaian tan then go on a multiple nation adventure. Hope the class is still following and has a globe.

We took Amber with the SoCal POTTERS on their annual Catalina Adventure. A group of small trailerable sailboat skippers with boats ranging in size from 15ft to 23ft cross the Catalina Channel every year. If Amber hasn’t made it off of the island by next year we’ll give her a sailboat ride back to the mainland.

I found Amber on my first Geocache search with my dad. My name is Amanda and I am almost 6 years old. We found Amber in Carlsbad at a cache started by RocketMan.I plan on taking him up to the Big Bear Lake, California area and putting her into the next cache we find. That will be in a few weeks on Memorial Day Weekend. Until then she can visit with my PollyPockets.
