Current Goal

I Have the Travel Bug!
This is a school project hosted by grade 2 class at Sussex Corner Elementary School. We released 20 travel bugs in April 2008. The children learned about geocaching, travel bugs, the geocaching website and wrote biographies about the travel bugs. My goal is for the children to learn about the different communities and families that their travel bugs encounter.
Your participation is appreciated . I have never seen my students more excited about a project! Please move this travel bug to a new location and document adventures and experiences on the website. The children will continue to track their travel bugs for years to come.

About This Item

Travel Bugs 019

My travel bug’s name is James and he is 200 years old. He is a robot. He has a spiky back, pincher and a claw. His legs, arms and face are wine in color and his body, pincher and claw are brown. He has red eyes that glow in the dark like a light bulb. James is a mean and evil robot.
My robots favourite thing to do is pinch people. This is his way of protecting himself. James does not like my dog, Brandy because she always barks at him. We have a great time together playing video games. James said,
“I hope that I find my robot travel bug someday soon.”
