Ducky is ALIVE AND WELL!!
I was with Wildchildz when we found Ducky back on 4/4/12. Ducky traveled all over with us as we went geocaching around north Texas. I'd even forgot that Ducky went on a trip to the Casino just inside of the Oklahoma border once too.
Then Wildchildz had a change in jobs and our geocaching adventures got put on hold.
In early 2020, Wildchildz was diagnosed with cancer and after a three year long battle, lost the battle on 3/28/23.
I didn't know that Wildchildz still had Ducky. And poor little Ducky spent the past 10 years cooped up in Wildchildz's canvas geocaching duffle bag.
I'm sorry, Ducky!
While going through some of Wildchildz's things today - still a lot of things to go through, I found Ducky.
To make up for Ducky's long sleep in the dark, I had to take Ducky outside for some sunshine. He got to ride on the back of a turtle, nestle in among the flowers, and met the resident kitty, Punkin.
In two months I'm moving to Arizona and will keep Ducky until I move. I'll take Ducky with me and release him there. (I think he's tired of Texas by now LOL)
In the meantime, I have a trip to Arkansas planned and will take Ducky with me there to celebrate Easter, and then will take him with me to East Texas when I visit in April.
I'll keep you posted on Ducky's travels until I release him in Arizona in a few months.
