Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, with the assistance of Shoshone guide Sakakawea, paved the way for westward expansion in the United States. Their journey took them through the territory that became the State of North Dakota in 1804. Mission: The Expedition of the Corps of Discovery travelled over 7,000 round-trip miles between St. Louis and the Pacific Ocean.  Help the travelers rack up even more miles by discovering the world!
