Current Goal

The first one to make it to California wins! Just like in the movie Cars!

About This Item

2ter trackable

This is a race between seven-year-old 2ter and her dad (much older) arkfiremedic! This is 2ter's car and her dad's car is identical except it says Dad on the back instead of 2ter. Keeping with the spirit of Cars the movie, both race cars are trying to get to California first! Please help this trackable along on its journey! Thanks!

The race has taken a wrong turn.  On 6/11/2010 the geocacher lizrudloff "borrowed" this trackable and it went missing for well over a year.  We have recovered it from a certain metal crusher just in the nick of time.  The car had been stripped of its signature paint job and had been in some sort of accident resulting in a smashed left front fender.  She limped it home to restart the race.  To get this car repaired we need to run it by Ramone's House of Color Body Shop for some much needed repairs.  Ramone's is located in Radiator Springs at:

GC171F0

Please get me there A.S.A.P. because my dad is trying to get his car repaired as it was also "borrowed" and sent to the chop shop.  You can keep track of his car at:

GO!!!

Good Luck 2ter,

Love Dad!

This was a quick, temporary log for the Cavot Road cache. I started Sunday, Nov 2 on a meandering trip from Dallas, TX to Albuquerque. Tonight I made it to Moriarty NM to the east of ABQ. 1950 mile so far, so it will be over 2000 by the time I get to ABQ tomorrow night.

Anyway, today I found the cache and dropped off this "racer" TB that wants to get to California. Since this cache is right on the eastern border of AZ and a quick off/on of I-10, I figured it would be the PERFECT place for someone to grab this little matchbox car and get it to California.

I'll log my finds in order, but it may take me a few days and I wanted to get this little racer into the inventory of the cache.

I picked this one up and intended to take it on the westerly edge of my journey - the eastern edge of Arizona along I-10. That should help get you to California.

Found this in one of my caches on north-south US hwy 87 in the Texas panhandle. Will drop it later today in one of my caches along east-west US hwy 180. Many retired folks use this road on the way to Arizona for the winter. That will give it a better shot at getting back to California.

I had to laugh when I saw the attachment of the tag. We have the same mindset. I have lost so many TBs that I don't use the chains anymore. I use either pop rivets or 4-40 bolts with superglue for attachment. I also noticed that despite your efforts to seal the bug in a bag, the bottom had been cut open. I put everything in a new bag to keep it together. Many cachers, perhaps as many as 50%, do not read mission statements. Moreover, I have learned that collectors intent on stealing will do so, and there are no precautions we can take to prevent it. Newbie cachers are also bad about keeping trophies.
