To raise awareness of the Akany Avoko refuge for young girls.
Akany Avoko was set up as a refuge for young girls who would otherwise be in prison awaiting trial to prove their innocence against allegations of petty crime.
Its purpose is to shelter and nurture destitute children and young people, to help and encourage their safe return to society, and to find and share ways to beat poverty that help to conserve the Malagasy environment.
