Current Goal

My mission is to travel as much and as far, as possible. Each trip will show our 2nd/3rd Grade Class where I have traveled on the map.

About This Item

This travel bug belongs to the 2nd and 3rd Grade Class at Mapleton Elementary School in Mapleton, Oregon. Each class has their own travel bug and we are anxious to watch which bug travels the most trips, or takes the longest trips. Please keep our travel bug moving. Happy Trails!

Retrieve It from a Cache 7/11/2008 Petie's Gang retrieved it from Treasure for Pirates and Princesses Florida   Visit Log

We saved Ross from heat stroke today... it was 90 degrees in Stuart, FL. Right now he is recovering in the cool air at our condo, but we thought he might enjoy going somewhere a little cooler, where the weather actually changes with the seasons. So, in about two weeks he will be on his way to Michigan. When we get home we will place him in a new home and give you some more detail about his location.

Ross is now resting in the Princess' cache (in Treasure for Pirates and Princesses) for a while. If you look up Stuart, Martin County Florida, you will see where he is for now. The weather is unusually cool this week,(about 70 degrees at 7:30 p.m.) so hopefully another cacher will be out this weekend and pick up your cute critter and move him on his way.

we picked up this little critter in St.Augustine, Florida, the oldest city in the United States. Established in 1565, it is the oldest sustained city in our borders. While Ross was with us, we visited the oldest wooden schoolhouse in the United States not too far from where we picked you up, we went by the Fountain of Youth, and waved at Chief Osceola who was was imprisoned in the fort that still stands at the corner of the city to guard against invaders from the sea. We are taking you home to South Florida, and will drop you in a cache there soon! Our princesses are near your age, 11, 7, and 5!

We found Ross a nice active cache in a cute little town on the eastern coast of Florida.

Glad we could help Ross with his journey!

We picked up your travel bug today. If you don't mind us hanging on to it for a few weeks, we can drop it in Florida during the first week of April.
Let us know if you prefer us to drop it sooner in a local (Eugene area) cache.
