This TB has a NEW mission! To get back to the owner, AddHam, asap. We are located in Grand Rapids, Michigan USA so please do what you can to get it there. For details on it's original mission...read below!
old mission: Get this thing as far away from me as possible!! Literally, this Ring needs to make it to the exact point on the other side of the world from my home town. Unfortunately, that would put you right in the middle of the ocean.
SO, the nearest cache to that point is
Down on the Corner (GCRFJM)(S 34° 15.750 E 115° 02.141) in Australia. If it makes it there, we can finally consider its journey complete.
I ask that whoever gets it to the spot takes a picture of the TB with the ocean and then throws the rings as far from shore as possible. Pictures and Video of the whole event would be awesome! However, if you would be so kind as to remove the Dog Tag from it and contact me regarding its safe return home. Please read below to find out the backstory on this TB!
This Travel Bug is our first.
As it turns out I was engaged once and to make a long story short, right before the wedding it was cut off. Going through a bunch of my old stuff I came across the former wedding band! It's a titanium comfort band size 10.5 I believe. There is a gold band running around the middle as well.
SO, since it didn't have any meaning for me I thought I'd get rid of it. I couldn't return it and wasn't going to get anywhere near what I paid for it trying to sell it. Then, through the brilliance of my wife and myself, we decided to turn it into a travel bug and get it as far away from me as possible...LITERALLY!
SO, it would be sweet if someone with a boat took a photo of this bug at the exact spot on the other side of the world (S 41° 28.158 E 090° 35.022) and then dropped it in! But if not, take it to Down on the Corner to complete its journey. Thanks!
Update: Another ring has been added to this TB and the previous owner wishes it to share the same fate. If anyone else cares to add a ring in the spirit of the bug, by all means go for it!
