About This Item

Since the establishment of the United States, the number of states has expanded from 13 to 50. Today, there are very few U.S. territories left that might potentially become new states. The most likely candidate may be Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico has been under U.S. sovereignty for over a century, and Puerto Ricans have been U.S. citizens since 1917. For the remaining permanently inhabited U.S. non-state jurisdictions—the United States Virgin Islands, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa—the prospects of statehood are remote. I would still like to travel to these territories even if they never become states. Feel free to attach a memento from your state.

Found this great trackable from a brand new geocache in South Carolina near Myrtle Beach. I had just flown home from Cali, where I was stuck 30 hours in an airport. It was a nightmare and all I wanted to do was sleep. But, when I was driving home, I saw that a new cache had been placed in our area. I rushed to it, and was the FTF and found this cool TB. It turned the last 30 hours right around. Thanks so much for creating this tb. I will get it on its way soon! Happy caching!
