Despite all of our modern civilization's advances and science and technology, we still don't know exactly how homing pigeons know how to fly home. Perhaps you can help this one along in its journey.
A bird like me is a special thing
Who can fly hundreds of miles, hours on the wing
It's in my blood, this desire to race
To fly nonstop at a dizzying pace
For thousands of years I've been trained and taught
So that returning straight home is my foremost thought
Take me away and let me fly
Up into the air, climbing high into the sky
Take me away and let me go
And the way home I will always know
This land I would see from Florida to Alaska
But remember, I always go home, and my home is in Nebraska
This Travel Bug tag is attached to a racing homing pigeon identification band. Homing pigeons always return home, so I'd like for this Travel Bug to eventually work its way back to Omaha, Nebraska. Feel free to take it with you anywhere, but if you're heading towards Nebraska, please consider taking it with you.
If you'd like to learn more about the exciting sport and hobby of homing and racing pigeons, please send me an email or visit my web site at interbug.com.

We picked this TB up because it looked like one that was inbound from another Stargate -- no note attached to it to indicate that it wanted to go elsewhere. Looks like it's been hanging around Austin for a while, but without instructions the Stargate wasn't going to send it anywhere!
We're not planning on heading back down to the Stargate's neighborhood any time soon, but we will try and move it a few dozen miles or more in a Northerly direction.
