R.I.P. Jynjur’s Blue Star Revived

R.I.P Jynjur's Blue Star mission is to be placed in geocaches with dark skies so it can see the other blue stars in our heaven’s each night. Jynjur’s Blue Star would like to visit Star Parties in all 52 states and any Star Parties in other countries. After Jynjur’s Blue Star reaches it goal it would like to return to Jynjur so she can return the Blue Star to the galaxy from which it came.”

This revived R.I.P. Jynjur’s Blue Star trackable is taking the place of the original.  Let’s keep this one moving.  Share pictures and stories about its travels in your log.  DO NOT KEEP this trackable as it wants to travel from geocache to geocache.  Try to move this trackable along within two weeks of picking it up so that it may met other geocachers and return to its owner someday.

According to Jynjur's Original Blue Star... "I am a blue star that has fallen to Earth to meet amateur astronomers and attend Star Parties. Jynjur found me, explained geocaching and offered to help me. I would like to be placed in caches with dark skies so I can see the other blue stars in our heaven’s each night. If you just happen to be going to a Star Party please take me along and be sure to post pictures of my adventures, so Jynjur and other amateur astronomers can share in my adventures too! I would like to visit a Star Party in each of the 52 states and any Star Parties in other countries. After I reach my goal I would like to return to my owner, Jynjur so she can return me to the galaxy from which I came.”

A tribute to the original Blue Star trackable

It is with the saddest regret that I announce the disappearance of Jynjur's Blue Star.  The Blue Star enjoyed its journey in the United States and Mexico.  This special blue star visited 60 sites and traveled over 7,841 miles before becoming a black hole and vanishing.  Jynjur's Blue Star was activated on March 15, 2008 in Gering, Nebraska and was last posted in a geocache in Boston, Massachusetts on May 18, 2013.  Its last known location was Southern Arizona when reported missing.  Jynjur's Blue Star may be gone but not forgotten. 

The Blue Star owner held on to the trackable for a couple years in an attempt to find the original, logging geocaches along the way.  Together they travelled around the country looking for any leads on the original trackable while promoting the lost trackable with no luck.  Hopefully this revived trackable can continue to assist in finding the original.
