To fly around and land close to any WWII RAF or USAAF airfields. It doesn't matter whether the airfield is disused or not, any will do. The P-51 would also like to travel to the States and perhaps meet and be photographed with bigger Mustangs! The real 'Short Fuse Sallee' still flies in Minneapolis, USA and is owned by Bill Bruggeman. It would also be great if the model could be autographed by a real P51 Mustang pilot, either a Veteran or present day pilot.
We bought this model of a P-51 Mustang, named Short Fuse Sallee, to be the Travel Bug in our first Cache, called Twelve O'clock high. This is set on part of a former RAF Airfield near Swindon, Wiltshire, UK. This Travel Bug is our 4 year old son's, so please keep it safe when it's flying around! Please post photos of the airfields it visits on its travels. One day, perhaps after it's visited the States, it would be nice for it to return home and go into retirement.
