Hello to Orleans,
Your little husky has traveled further. (Sorry for the delay. Our junior had a bad cold.)
The place we picked the little husky up looked a little bit like from Robert Frost with "woods so lovely dark and deep" but was really in middle of nowhere. So we took him to a cache east of the area of the "World Exhibition 2000" in Hannover the capital city of Lower Saxony.
If you try to view the place with GoogleEarth: The way some feet south of the cache leads to the west directly to the old pavilions. There are some nice pictures at Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expo_2000 But do not misunderstand, today the pavilions are run down, some are dangerous and year by year the nature takes more of the area back. All great official plans for subsequent use seem to have failed. But the population has discovered the place for skating, kiting, geocaching, as a nice racetrack for model making and much more. So on weekends it is a quite interesting place to go.
And by the way, the big buildings behind the pavilions on the west side of the highway a little bit to the north are yearly used by the CeBit, the world's largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for home and work environments.
The cache is highly frequented, so he will not have to wait long. He is dry, clean and in good spirits. 😉
Greetings from Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, Germany
