Especially to be photographed in settings and places popularized by Louis L'Amour, and with cows.

About This Item

This is one reason the Wild West was tamed: barbed wire. This particular piece was patented by William Edenborn (patent #313,929) in 1885, and is just one of over 1,500 known variations of patented barbed wire. More information is available at "antiquebarbedwiresociety.com".

I picked this piece up at a cache somewhere on a trip out west. It was placed by "bob8bear Team", and they are watching its travels with interest.

    Dipped it here in this cache near the Chesapeake Bay. This cache is back by an inlet where canoes and kayaks launch, probably to go through reeds and stuff. But the location is pretty.

    And just before I dipped these TBs, I dipped my toes in the salt water. So I guess I double dipped!
