SINCE I HITCHED A RIDE TO EUROPE I DON'T WANT TO WASTE IT, MIGHT AS WELL TRAVEL AROUND, TAKE ME ANYWHERE. Another of my bugs wanted to go to Italy so it is going to be jealous, maybe you can take me there as well. I have visited several countries in Europe and would love to go back.

Dedicated to my first U.S. Army Reserve Unit which I joined in 1981 after leaving active duty and stayed until about 1993. There were actually two MP Platoons in this reserve center, the 547th and the 719th and they were designated as "Hospital Guard" units, a left over from older times. Most of their training involved "Garrison" or "White Hat" duty.

1982 Ft. Jackson, SC - Garrison Duty
1983 Ft. Stewart, GA - Garrison/Field Duty
1984 Ft. Pickett, VA - Garrison Duty

The unit was reorginized around 1985 as the 371st MP Detachment (Confinement) working in the military prisons.

1991 Home Station Training Due to Reorgizination of Unit
Unit was reorginized into a Transportation Unit and I got promoted and moved on to a new assignment with the 460th Replacement Detachment.
