There are many beautiful mountains to climb in Switzerland. Many people choose to employ a Swiss guide for the more difficult peaks. The climbing rope, ice axe and boots are symbols of the Swiss guides. Several mountains have alternative ways of ascending them such as the cable car and cog wheel railroad up Mt. Pilatus.
