Die Seychellen erstrecken sich auf einem Wasserareal von etwa 450.000 km2 zwischen S 3°43' und S 10°08' sowie O 46°10' und 56°20' im indischen Ozean und bestehen aus 115 benannten Inseln und Atollen.

Mit ihrem kristallklarem Wasser, der tropischen Vergetation und einer einzigartigen Unterwasserfauna bilden die Seychellen in fast idealer Weise das Traumbild einer exotischen Inselwelt.

Diese kleine Karettschildkröte ist nach der Hauptstadt Victoria dieser paradiesischen Inselgruppe benannt und möchte die Seychellen einmal besuchen und dort mit einigen Sehenswürdigkeiten fotografiert werden. Wenn sie das geschafft hat, würde sie gerne wieder zu uns nach Deutschland zurückkommen.

Auf den Seychellen gibt es sage und schreibe gerade mal 3 Geocaches! Wenn Ihr Vicky selbst zu den Seychellen nehmt könnt Ihr sie ja in einem der Caches (solltet Ihr sie finden ) ablegen. Vielleicht fahren ja auch Bekannte von Euch zu den Seychellen und könnten Vicky dorthin mitnehmen und Euch anschließend wiedergeben.

Damit Vicky ihr Ziel erreicht solltet Ihr folgendes beachten:

  • Legt sie nur in sichere und gut versteckte GeoCaches!
  • Versucht sie ihrem Ziel etwas näher zu bringen und seht sie nicht als bloßen Statistik-TB an!
  • Falls Ihr Vicky nicht direkt helfen könnt, zeigt ihr doch einen anderen interessanten Badeort (z.B. Eure Badewanne), fotografiert sie dort und lasst sie wieder frei!
  • Bei Fragen schreibt uns doch einfach eine eMail!

The Seychelles take up nearly 176.000 sq miles of water area and they are located between S 3°43' / S 10°08' and E 46°10' / 56°20' in the indian ocean. They consist of 115 named islands and atolls.

With their crystal-clear water, their tropical vegetation and their unique underwater-fauna, the Seychelles covey the picture of an exotic island dreamworld.

This little hawksbill turtle is named after the capital city of the Seychelles Victoria and would like to visit the Seychelles to get a picture together with some sights and landscapes there. If she has done so, she would like to get back to us to Germany.

There are only 3 Geocaches on the Seychelles! If you take Vicky to one of these caches by yourselves you can leave it there if you like. But maybe some of your friends may travel to theses wonderful islands next time and they can take Vicky along in order to take some pictures! That would be so great!

In order to reach her goal you should take notice of this:

  • Please drop Vicky in safe and well-hidden caches only!
  • Try to take her somewhat closer to her goal if possible!
  • If you can't reach Vicky's primary goal, show her another nice place, take a picture with her and drop her into another safe cache afterwards!
  • If you have any questions, do write an eMail!

I found Vickey swimming in the "Hidden Pond". She is off to another cache soon, somewhat closer to the Seychelles.

Vicky wird sich Ende Woche schwimmend auf den Weg in die USA machen. Sie freut sich schon ihr Ziel die Welt umrundend zu erreichen.

Vicky will start to swim across the ocean to the USA at the end of this week. She is looking forward to reach her destination going around the world.

Da wir gerade in der Türkei 1.5m lange Wasserschildkröten lebensgross und in echt beim Tauchen beobachten und mit ihnen schwimmen konnten, musste ich sie einfach mal mitnehmen.

Wir haben uns mit Vicky einen Film über die Seychellen angesehen.
Some days ago we watched a film about the Seychelles in TV together with Vicky.
