About This Item

The stockless anchor is the standard for ships that may encounter many types of sea bottoms. Ruggedly constructed and of simple design, these anchors consist of a heavy head in which the crown, tripping palms, and flukes are forged in one piece. They do not have a stock (or crossbar), hence the term “stockless”. They are pivoted on the shank to swing 45 degrees to either side and have the advantages of tremendous dead weight, the ability to bite and take hold, and the design allows for easy handling, hoisting, and stowing. The anchor of choice of the United States Navy is the Baldt Stockless Anchor

Stockless Anchor on a CQR anchor. Glad to host this beautifull one on our sailing boat for some hours 😉. Now let's find a nice harbour for it.

An anchor wanting to join other anchors cannot be left on a mountain castle, even if it's near the sea. Let's find a new harbour for it.
