Time for a Scout 477 update! Due to family reasons, I ended up taking a trip to Las Vegas and brought her along so she could see the sights. Pictures are attached. She seemed to really enjoy the bright lights of Vegas, and we made sure to keep her out of the casinos. 🙂
One of the reasons that I grabbed her in the first place is that I am a former Boy Scout, from Troop 58 in Santa Clarita, California. Our motto/song was:
We can cook, we can bake
We will give you a stomach ache
We're the Boy Scouts, of Troop 58.
You kind of have to hear us sing it in a falsetto opera voice to truly appreciate it. Anyway, my brother Dave and I were Life Scouts, and my father was the Scoutmaster for several years. (A pic of us now, a few years older, is attached!) Scouting was an excellent adventure, and definitely helped to shape the person I've become today. I hope you two stick with it, as the older you get, the more rewarding it becomes!
While I was in Vegas, I passed her along to my brother, so that she could take off on a new adventure. He will be dropping her off someplace special very soon, and we'll log her when he does! Thanks for sending her out to see the world!
