To go traveling everywhere. Air-related ventures are preferred but not necessary. Airshows, cockpit shots, wing shots, aerobatic team pictures... all good!
Gee Bee's Hall of Fame Picture Takers:
- "Capt Bud" for his hilarious 10/2005 picture with Gee Bee struggling to keep up with the A319!
- "Monte Z Revenge" for his great 2/2006 Pima air museum pics of Gee Bee flying by!
- "CajunRedHead1977"
After being lost for many months this TB was graciously rescued by cacher "CajunRedHead1977." It was apparently lost and discarded by a "Team Harley" in 4/07. Big thanks to Cajun for this rescue... it took a HQC to save ole Gee Bee.
If you were to be sitting in the stands of the 1932 Thompson Trophy Air race, you might have caught a glimpse of this stubby but high powered racer being flown by aviation pioneer Jimmy Doolittle. The Gee Bee R1 held that race's speed record of nearly 310mph, an incredible feat back then. Powered by a 740hp Pratt & Whitney Wasp engine, the stubby R1 Super Sportster then, and later the R2, roared their way to numerous wins. It was a golden age of flying and these planes and engines were the precursors to the P&W R2800s that would later power the US's incredible P-47 and F4U Corsair.
With such a fine pedigree, "Gee Bee" will feel quite at home in any aviation venue. Pictures are a must. Military and civilian aviation shots of all kinds are sought as GeeBee travels AROUND THE WORLD. ALSO PICTURES FROM EVERYWHERE ARE WELCOMED. "Gee Bee" will fly again!
If you do take pictures please say "Pics" somewhere in your log so I can check them out and send you a thanks!
** Also please do not place in EVENT, MULTI, or REMOTE caches (this bug was almost lost because of this).

A cache containing your trackable item has been archived. The trackable's last known location was the geocache GC1Z6H2 ( http://coord.info/GC1Z6H2 ). When I archived this cache this travel bug was not in the container. A number of cachers have visited the cache since it was archived 3 days ago and before I could retrieve the container. One of them may have the bug.

Grabbed this from A Sign From The Past II?? , not from where it was recorded. I'll find it a home with a nice view of the airport.
