About This Item

Bibly Tower Geocoin

Having my roots in surveying, I thought that this coin should travel around and visit as many benchmarks as possible. The Bilby tower, is a tower constucted over survey monuments so that surveyors can see them from a far. They were created by Jasper Bilby in around 1926, who worked for the U.S. Geodetic Survey.

This coin disappeared from "Stumped by the trail" back in 2008, but is alive again. Only its image is now traveling.
