About This Item

The Rose City Homing Bug

We started this Travel Bug (our first) while visiting friends in the Landes and Basque regions of SW France. Its goal was to make its way back to us at home in Portland Oregon USA before its sister travel bug (The Basque Bug) made it from Portland to the Basque Country (SW France/NE Spain).
It took 3 years and 4 months to make it back to Portland, traveled 12556 miles on that journey, passing through over 30 geocachers' hands and won the race.

The Rose City Homing Bug is now on its second expedition, trying to travel back to Portland OR, starting in west central Florida this time. If you find this travel bug, please try to move it westward and northward, back towards its home...
