Current Goal

This is a December 2007 edition GCC Geocoin - it is not a rare coin so it has very little monetary value so please continue to pass it on. The coins mission is simple, Please take the coin on an Adventure and recored the details. Harrison my four year old geokid will be keeping track of its travels with interest. Lets see where this little coin ends up on this beautiful planet of ours.

About This Item

December 2007 GCC Geocoin

After finding and passing on a few coins in our travels of caching my four year old said 'Mum can I have my own coin to go on adventure?'. How could I refuse a face so innocent - we love caching, so why not. This is our first geocoin to put in circulation and what can I say - Harrison my beautiful boy this one is for you xox

Every hobby, every job, everything has its own vocabulary - and sometimes they are quite similar: Today I went to the guest manager, because I had an issue with my cabin (or more specifically: flushing was out of order). While I was describing the problem, they grabbed the radio set and sent off the radio message: "We have a DNF on cabin ... Needs maintenance". I was stunned! But they did not say DNF. It was TNF. The radio-short-version for "toilet not functioning".

After the plane landed at the airport, we had to rush to the conveyor belt to pick up our luggage. We (the coin and me) are currently at the shipyard where "Mein Schiff 3" ist build (no pictures allowed). I hope I can leave the shipyard on saturday to explore Turku (and finally find some caches in the area).

After four years of travelling there are no pictures attached? Today I am departing to Turku via Copenhagen (the map tells, the coin has already visited Turku a while ago, but hey, why not?). Puctured (and adventures as requested) will follow.

  • TXL (Tegel Airport, Berlin) I guess "Finair"-plane (left of the reflection) will be ours.
