About This Item

See a map of the duck family's travels.

Don't pick me up unless you can drop me off by the end of next weekend!

Minot? Why not. His mom never paid attention to him, so he wants to get out of her clutch. This duck has heard that lots of migratory birds use this area as a stopping point in their travels, so it must have something going for it. It's also TravisL's first home, but it's on an Air Force Base, so you've gotta know somebody who knows somebody to get on base. A picture in front of this house would be just ducky.

Big Bad Black Hat

Big Bad Black Hat Duck is a member of a dysfunctional family of ducks:

Found Big Bad Black Hat Duck! Mosquitoes were eating us ALIVE but the duck survived. We're placing him close to RDU in hopes that a traveler will take him flying closer to home. 🙂

Our first TB! He will be on his way very soon, but he struck up an unlikely friendship with our labrador retriever so he had to come home with us to visit for a while.

    • A very unlikely friendship Even though labs usually are used to hunt ducks, these two just hit it off right away!

This CACHE is in a LARGE AMMO can. It is located under a fallen tree. This one is really going to be a challange!! Long hike in, and you might have to do some bush wacking. The forest has recently had a controlled burn, so there is not much foliage around. This one will get harder as time goes on. Look for this cache near a fallen tree that overhangs a babbling brook. Finished work early in Redding and decided to see if a TB needed a trip to the east coast. I found the Big Bad Black Hat Duck and figured he would enjoy the flight. He is not too far from Pope AFB. Hopefully he can catch a ride to Minot AFB.
