What a nice discovery and we needed her help as the cache dropped to the ground. Nice meeting you all and making your day enjoyable. Makes a good memory for all.

Lately it has been hard to get Quinn to go hiking / geocaching but once she gets out she says she enjoys doing it. This one was no exception, it was about 2 miles in one way, gaining ~1,040 feet elevation. We stopped a lot on the way up and read all the way through chapter 5 of "Cricket in Times Square" during our stops. But once we got out of the lower meadow and into the big trees and rocks, Quinn started enjoying the hike and stopped asking to go back. Quinn did not scramble the last 300 or so feet up the rocks to the cache site. Overall this was a great early fall hike with a few fall color aspens and undergrowth.

We were at a nearby beach party and I brought the cache container back to the rest of the team. My mom and dad were also there, and they cache in Pennsylvania and Oregon, but they are not going to log this as a find. Other attendees were also interested in what a geocache was. We didn't have too much time for geocaching on this trip... too much was already planned.
