This Geocoin is a replica of a golden coin (called "stater") of the celtic (or "gaulois" in french) tribe Parisii (handmade about 120 BC; see: Latour XXXI/7777, Lenqyel XXVIII-XXIX, Blanchet 367 fig. 343, Forrer 253 fig. 444, Roth 136, Colbert de Beaulieu "Parisii"). These celts has lived for about 300 years before christ in the today's region of Paris (France) and gave their name to this city, which was formerly named Lutetia. They were tough warriors, they fighted naked and collected skulls. They feared nothing unless the sky would fall upon their heads and they refused to write down their history. Use "Parisii" in Google and Wikipedia to learn more, read good history books, read the stories around King Arthur, read the comics of Asterix and you'll learn more about the celts.
