Current Goal

This travel bug is designed to collect "arm bands." Ever since Lance Armstrong started this craze with LIVESTRONG armbands, many organizations have adopted this idea as a fund raiser etc. I'm just curious to see what/who is using them. If you can, please take a photo of your band and/or describe it in your log.

And one more thing, please don't take the bands. I think it serves more of a purpose to leave them there and let others see what they are all about.

About This Item

The original three

I am starting this band off with a LIVESTRONG (of course), a pink breast cancer awareness band, and a red heart health awareness band. I know there are many more out there: a purple(Relay for Life), a multicolor (Children's Miracle Network), a lime green (organ donation or save7lives.org), a blue one (Leukemia)... the list goes on. If you have a band and want to add it to the chain, please do. It doesn't matter if it's just local or a nationwide one.

We saw this one at the USCGA meeting, and added a "Hannah's Hope" band to it, in honor of Hannah Sobeski, and her unwavering faith in her fight for life due to cancer.

We are taking this one back to Greenville because we didn't have time to find a container here in Jax that this large TB would fit in. We added a Dyslexia band that we picked up at the Spooktacular at Jax Zoo.
