Oh my what an amazing adventure this little coin has brought to me!! After arriving in Texas this coin has been w/ me on several geocaching days looking and searching for a neat place to take pictures at before it passes through on its continuing journey.
One day, while out geocaching w/ my boyfriend(Pottedmeat), we spotted a group of 7 large military helicopters flying in formation to a local airport. We just happened to be very near this airport. We got so excited about maybe getting a glimpse of them when they landed and possibly getting a picture of this geocoin in front of them from a distance. So we hurried up and got over to the airport to find that they were all just landing in behind the TAC Air Terminal tarmac. We stood outside the chain link fence just taking a few pictures. Then my boyfriend says to me that we should go inside the TAC Air Terminal building so we can maybe get a better look at them. So we went in. Well about this time all the Army pilots and solders were coming inside. We caught some of them and told them about geocaching and a little about our coin. We then asked if they weren't too busy on their break that they could go out on the tarmac and take a picture of the coin in front of the helicopters for us. One nice soldier agreed to take the picture w/ the coin. However, instead of them taking the picture, they invited us out on the tarmac to take it ourselves. This was a restricted area of course! But with their permission we were able to go out there w/ them. It was sooo amazing! And ...just as we were taking the picture, 5 more helicopters were in the sky in the background getting ready to land there too! So, we had quite an adventure that this little coin led us to. 😁
Then traveling on our way to our cache about 10 minutes later we came across this old small Army tank!! So we took some pictures of the coin w/ it too. It seems he has had quite a big journey just being here in Texas! Lol.
Well we enjoyed him and all the amazingly fun adventures he brought us!! His mission is complete w/ us now and he will be finding a new home soon. Thanks for all the fun,
