About This Item

This coin is part of a Geocoin race that will begin in February 2008 and end on March 1, 2009. This coin needs to visit as many caches and as many countries during this time as possible by as many cachers as possible. Please help me win the race.

2012 UPDATE:  This coin disappeared after 5080 miles of traveling around Europe in 2008 and 2009.  It was released by a representative of Hog Wild Stuff, which manufactured all the coins and sponsored the geocoin race. The race was to coincide with the start of the 2008 Olympics in Athens.   It went to caches in Greece, Portugal, Gibraltar, and the Czech Republic before disappearing from a cache in Austria.  The last log was on October 24, 2009.

In honor of the 2012 Olympics in London, I decided to manufacture a business card size copy of the coin and start it out here in America.  The pictures I put on the card show both sides of the coin - they aren't the best quality, but you get the idea of what the coin looked like. Logging this coin will give you a unique icon to add to your TB and coin icons.   I hope to start it out on its second journey on the day of the opening ceremony of the Olympics.
