Everyone in the house had cabin fever after the record low temps and wind chill, along with the heavy snowfall we just had. Two many days off from school. I brought all the g-kids out here to add their names to the log sheet. Of course I made them solve the puzzle first.
The dragonfly looked a little weather worn, but to be expected. As planned, I grabbed the dragonfly and took it home. I am archiving it, as it has been a lonely cache lately.
After our visit here we drove over to Wolf Road Prairie to get some walking in. We had the whole place to ourselves. A good workout on Super Bowl Sunday morning, so bring on the snacks at gametime.

On the way to the GI Film Festival we had a little monkey business to attend to. We handled it in short order. At the final we could have loitered for a while, but had a couple other puzzle caches along our route.

I was on my way to Blick's to get some paint for my artistic G-kid, but had to make just this one stop on the way, so I could tip my hat (three years late) to Greenback and say "congratulations on your 20,000 finds! When I got to GZ I found the cache in the second place I looked, because anytime I step up to a host such as this when I'm thinking of Greenback, I instinctively look up first....waaay up! Thanks for placing this fine tribute cache. And what makes it finer is the awesome poem you wrote, so good I had to read it twice.

When we got there I saw it right away. It had a hole in it so we put a new cache there. I saw no hummingbirds, but I saw lots of dinosaurs! I had fun on the bridge at the bottom of the hill.
