About This Item

Benny the Bell Hop

One of my most memorable childhood vacations was taking a train from Dallas to Chicago in 1968. My parents saved for a year in order to stay in what was then the Conrad Hilton Hotel. This travel bug wants to retrace that trip.

Benny has achieved this goal thanks to maphound. His new goal is to visit Red Wing Minnesota, the hometown of my maternal grandparents. While there he should stay at the St. James Hotel, and visit the Red Wing Pottery, Soren's Bluff and the Oofda gift shop downtown.

We have re-named him Benny the Headless Bell Hop. The poor guy must have a rough job his legs are broken too. It's a good thing his arms work or he would be out of a job. We did not realize he needed to go to Minnesota, we are headed back to Wisconsin and will drop him somewhere along the way.

What a cool travel bug, We do have to sadly say tho that your travel bugs head is off the man. Is there anything special you would like us to do with it before we place it in a different cache or move it along? Picked it up at the event in Marquette and will move it along as soon as we can.
