About This Item

Trying something different here. I want to hear the story of your first cache find.

Mine came on an outing with my brother and current KS administrator. Our first search was a failure. We had our boys along (Both 10 at the time) and there was snow melting. We decided that a cache near Lincoln Kansas would be our first hunt. Lots of searching, muddy, wet, sticker covered and disappointed we left the area without a find. That proved to be a cache it took me three trips to find. Later that day however we found one at the high point in Cloud County Kansas and a the geocaching bug took hold.

Been a neat ride ever since and I hope you will take the time to share your first experience with us!

    My sister, rhaywood2, found the caching site link on the Atkins Diet website. As I am not one to look at those kind of sites, I'm glad she is. Our first cache was 'just sittin' watching all the cars go by' by barondriver.
    9-10-03 It was just a few blocks from the house. Looks like it has been archived due to progress. The bench is a goner. We're at 215 caches and growing.
