Originally classified as a 2nd Generation Geocache Command Center (GCC Gen2), this Jeep JK Rubicon -- fitted with all of the equipment required to navigate to and locate geocaches around the country -- has received numerous modifications and has been reclassified as a Geocache Assault Vehicle (GAV).
The GAV, capable of online and offline mapping, navigation and communications, as well as the ability to traverse the roughest terrain, will be deployed on geocaching missions whenever it is deemed necessary by operators in the latest GCC Gen3 to achieve the mission's goal and for the safety of its crew.
The original GCC, a Jeep TJ modified to be capable of reaching even the most distant wvcoalcat cache, has now been decommisioned. In addition to its mechanical modifications, it also contained multiple GPS receivers, smartphone mounts and a custom Jeeputer containing unlimited geocache databases, street-level, topographical and navigational mapping for the North American continent and was capable of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular communications.

Very cool ride! Discovered at one of the CO's hides around Morgantown, WV while driving my own '08 JK pulling a '79 SunLine camper. Fun surprise to talk about geos and Jeeps for awhile. Shortly after I got home from GeoWoodstock, my Jeep's odometer passed 200K miles. These things last forever if you take care of them, and it's one of the only vehicles where efficiency is measured in smiles per gallon 🙂.

Saw you hanging out near your cache as we went to get it. Think you were servicing it after we left.
