Detroit Monkey Dan

Detroit Monkey Dan is a ZooKey from the Detroit Zoo. The zoo is located in Royal Oak, a suburb of Detroit Michigan. According to the Detroit Zoological Society, the ZooKeys were first introduced in 1960. They operated "Talking Storybooks" throughout the zoo. The ZooKeys disappeared in the early 1980's and have since been reintroduced. Today's keys operate boxes that tell facts about the animals and animal conservation. (detroitzoo.org)

For generations these keys have been a part of the Detroit Zoo and they remind many of the magic of being a child.

Detroit Monkey Dan is proud of his home, but desires to travel the world and experience life. Please don't take Detroit Monkey Dan back to the Detroit Zoo. He was purchased in the spring of 2004 and has expired. The keys are only activated for a year.
