Current Goal

It is the mission of this travel bug to get to Austin, TX as soon as possible - via as many states as possible!

About This Item

Your photos documenting the travels of "Austin Or Bust" are always welcome - especially those of recognizable landmarks, not necessarily in the immediate vacinity of the cache location. Maybe a shot of some landmark you visit while "AOB" is tagging along on the way to the next cache... My family and I are relocating to Austin from Providence, Rhode Island (September 15, 2005) - the idea is to pick this bug up again in Austin and assign it to a new task.

NOT AT DUKES CREEK FALLS FOR YEARS. APPEARS MISSING, easy enough to log these trackables, even if you plan to keep them; the owners should know what happened to them and content info of caches accurate. Lot's of missing coins and bugs. I've taken to only putting them in remote caches where the real cachers go and log their finds.

We brought this one from Texas on our Thanksgiving trip to visit family. It made it to Austin, and I picked it up in nearby Georgetown. Perhaps it would like to make the run back to Austin from Tennessee, the source of so many of Texas's early settlers.

Retrieve It from a Cache 11/23/2006 Scout Man retrieved it from Lytle Bones Tennessee   Visit Log

I'm logging this travel bug through the Lytle Bones cache in order to record that it passed this way. It visited this cache location briefly along its journey, but it will be left in a cache later in our trip, probably in the greater Chattanooga area in North Georgia or Tennessee.

Picked this one up from YAAHC#2 - Muggle This! at 12:55 p.m. Love the dog picture. Since this one has been to Austin already, I might take it to Georgia with the family over Thanksgiving in the spirit of What Uncle_Fluffy said about putting some miles under it in hopes it will make it back to Austin again. On the other hand, it stayed in Austin only about 5 days before traveling to nearby Georgetown, so perhaps it should go back to Austin for a while longer, in case Swashbucklers still wants to retrieve it and assign it a new task.

Swashbucklers, if you're monitoring this and want to ring in an opinion within the next 4 days (from this posting), in an e-mail to me via the Geocaching.com site or via a posting to the Travel Bug log, I'll respect your wishes as to the direction this bug travels. I'll place a watch on the Travel Bug log for at least that long.

As an interesting aside, I'm new to the geocaching hobby, and this cache was placed where I found it before I'd ever sought my first cache.
