This travel bug is dedicated to our Furry Friends. Unfortunately there are thousands of pets that are neglected and abused. This bug is to serve as a voice for them.

According the the Humane Society of the US there are 6-8 million cats and dogs that are entering the shelters each year. 3-4 million of these pets are adopted and unfortunately that leaves 3-4 million of these animals being euthanized.
Some ways to reduce these numbers are to:
1. Spay and Neuter your pets.
2. Adopt a pet from your local shelter or breed rescue
3. Make a donation of time, money or supplies to your local shelter
4. Report abuse
5. Report Dog fighting
6. Avoid purchasing puppies from puppy mills.
7. Set a good example for others
8. Fight for passage of anti cruelty laws
9. Educate children on how to treat animals
10. Love your pet. If you are a pet owner then you already know the benefits of pet ownership and it's reward of unconditional love

Found this in a cache at Runestone Park near Kensington, MN. Apparently someone forgot to log it between Sibley State Park and Runestone? Cute animals, and fit right in with my five outdoor cats! I'll give it a new travel home as soon as possible.

Dropped this one in the event we grabbed it from in order for it to get the mileage it deserves. Hitting the trail again bright and early this AM...hopefully we'll find a cache big enough in Mankato today or we'll take them back to SF with us. Neat TB!!!
