The mission is to travel to the host country (The Netherlands) and the four countries (USA, Canada, The United Kingdom and the Federal Republic of Germany) who sponsored the formation of the AFCENT (Allied Forces Central Europe) School when it was first established in 1967. Located in the city of Brunssum, The Netherlands, the school was formed to serve the educational needs of civilian and military dependants of those who were a part of AFCENT; a division of NATO - The North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The uniqueness of the school was that it was four national high schools under one roof with some shared classes and students of all nationalities participated in the same extra-curricular and sports programs.
The school is now known as AFNORTH International School.
The TB is an AFCENT International School pin that features the Limburg Lion, a symbol of the Dutch Province of Limburg, located in the southeastern tip of The Netherlands and home to the school.
