Travel around the world by April 20, 2009 collecting journal entries along the way.

On September 11, 2008 a journal came home from school with the instructions that we are supposed to send it somewhere else in the world (we're in Canada) and have that person make an entry. That person 1) writes in the journal telling the students what life is like in their part of the world, 2)sends a postcard to "TJL" at school telling her where the journal has been and where it is going next, and then 3) passes the journal along to someone else to make an entry. The hope is that the journal will travel around the world, and will be sent back around April 20, 2009. Postcards will be displayed in class, and at the end of the school year my daughter gets to keep all of the cards that were sent for her journal.

We are attaching a travel bug tag to the journal in the hopes that Geocachers and Pathtaggers will help us keep track of the mileage around the world, and so my daughter "TJL" can see where her journal is. Please do not leave this Travel Bug in a geocache where it could get muggled, forgotten, or face the elements. Instead, I am asking that you find the cache nearest your home and write a note logging the journal in and out of the cache, and then pass the journal along either face to face or by mail. The journal has a list of people willing to help it along on its journey, or you can pass it along to someone that you know is willing to help keep it travelling. Since this TB is trying to go around the world by April 2009, plesae move it along quickly!

Suggestions for journal entries include what life / climate / terrain is like where you are, what your family enjoys for food and entertainment, occupations, etc. Pictures are more than welcome!

For the sake of internet safety, please do not post my daughter's name on the internet (it is on the front of her journal), instead I am requesting that if you refer to her you use the initials "TJL".
