Sponge Bob says: "SoCal, a nice place to visit but wouldn't want to live there." He enjoyed visiting Mercey Hot Springs as we traveled south on our way to arid SoCal. But he let us know that he prefers the damp, so we carried him back north to the cooler shores of Lake Shasta. We hope that another intrepid cacher will take him on to his next watery home.

Our sponge-y buddy was hanging out happily by the edge of a marsh when we found him. Poor little guy- he's about to leave his nice damp temporary home in Seattle for places warmer and probably drier. I guess he became a real Pacific Northwesterner while he was here--we like to get to the sun this time of year.
